International Scientific and Memorial Symposium

Summer 2019 will close the period of celebrations, and scientific events organized around the centenary of the foundation of Hungarian military mapping service. The historical age provides us with an opportunity for commemoration of the eventful century not only from perspective of Hungarian cartography but also of all the national map services around the Central European region which tried to stay on his feet after collapse the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The symposium will be held on 21 June 2019 in Budapest, Hungary under the theme “History of military cartography of former k. u. k. nations in the last hundred years”.
